Navarathri, the jubilant celebration of the divinity of Goddess Durga, is celebrated with gaiety at Sevalaya. The children participated with glee in decorating a big stage with steps and arranged dolls in them, lit lamps, drew ‘Rangloli’ patterns, and sang devotional hyms. They evinced a lot of interest in knowing about the reason for celebrating the festival. The children were served with snacks prepared from various lentils, as well as a sweet, after the pooja every day.
