Sevalaya’s Montessori Exhibition 2018, was inaugurated at 11.00 AM yesterday, by Mrs. Swathanthra Sakthivel, Secretary Bala Mandir Schools. In her address, she said that she is delighted to see the range of services of Sevalaya, especially targeted towards the rural poor, and said that this kind of exhibitions will help children and visiting students, in their long and meaningful educational career and lives as well. The children themselves explained the models to the visiting public, comprising various schools’ children, village elders, parents of the students, and press reporters.
Children performed various cultural activities, viz. Puppet show, Group songs, all relevant to the theme of the day. The Highlight of the cultural event was the enactment of children dressed like our inspiring leaders in history, Jansi Rani, Mother Tesesa, and Thilliadi Valliammai, as if they came alive, which drew loud applause of the audience.
Students also spoke in the event, and expressed their extreme happiness of being students of Sevalaya and in fact a matter of pride, they said.
