Ramanujan Day was celebrated on 8th Jan 2019 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujan, the Mathematics genius.
Radha Vijayasarathy, Managing Director, Lifco Publishing Co., the Chief Guests said that to achieve success in life one should work hard, have self-confidence and a steadfast approach. Srinivasa Ramanujan, the genius is remembered even after 131 years. This is because of his achievements in the field of Mathematics. Born in a middle-class family, it was by hard work he overcame the constraints and obstacles and pursued his passion i.e research in Mathematics and was recognised internationally. Likewise, whatever may be their family conditions, students should make the best use of the opportunities provided at Sevalaya and pursue their passion and achieve success.” advised Radha Vijayasarathy.
Prizes were distributed to the students, who were the toppers in the Maths Talent Test conducted earlier, on 28th November 2018, for students of Stds VI to XII in Chennai, Kanchipuram and Thiruvallur District. This year 150 students from 40 schools participated.
