5S training, which is basically used in manufacturing – (TQM, Lean, Energy conservation and Six Sigma), was used in a different light by Mr T M Venkatesan, Chairman and Mentor and Ms Geetha Venkatesan, Founder and Administrator of Focus-5 to teach the children on “a place for everything and everything in its place.”
They came to the campus and involved the students of Std IX in group activities and posing riddles to the children. The focus was on team work, respect and assisting everyone around them. They played many short videos highlighting the moral values which the children can imbibe in their lives
The students had a very positive experience.
