On hearing about the structural damages and solar panels at Sevalaya, L&T Infotech readily came forward to assist in the partial reconstruction efforts. Sevalaya undertook the reconstruction work in a rapid pace and completed the work within 40 days, and the inauguration function took place.
The works included installing solar panels and renewal of solar stands around the campus. Some of the compound walls damaged was also reconstructed; Mr. Sudhir Shenoi, Head, Automation, L & T Infotech, Chennai inaugurated the newly built compound walls and commissioned the solar panels. He lauded the efforts of Sevalaya and mentioned that L & T Infotech and Sevalaya shared the same ideals, when it came to serving the cause of the underprivileged sections of the society. He advised the students to contribute to the society when they settle in their lives.
