Sevalaya’ Community Colleges strive not only to educate the underprivileged youth, but to help them secure employment after they graduate. By making contact with and building strong relationships with corporations of various sectors, we are in a prime position to support our students in their quest for a stable career. On 12th July 2019, a Certificate Distribution ceremony was held at our Uthiramerur College in Kancheepuram district, for 90 students who have just completed Computer or Tailoring courses.
The function was attended by representatives from two major corporations: Mr. Tamilselvan (Head of Projects & Academy, Triumph International (India) Private Ltd), Ms. M. Meenakshi (Training Manager, Triumph International (India) Private Ltd), and Mr. P. Karthi, (Asst. Manager, HR & Admin, Rural Shores Business Services Pvt Ltd).
After the certificates had been presented to the students, they were able to ask questions to learn more about the opportunities available within the two companies. All three company representatives were so impressed by the professionalism and work ethic of Sevalaya’s gradutes, that all 90 students were offered jobs!
These bright young people are a credit to the college and Sevalaya is proud to have equipped them with the skills necessary for their careers.
