Police and Public from Ranipet district conducted Green Marathon to highlight the importance of “Go Green” on 28th February 2021 which started at Government Higher Secondary School, Ranipet.
5 students of Sevalaya participated in the under 20 Marathon in which 2000 people from all over Tamilnadu participated. 3 students from Sevalaya won prizes.
The Chief Guest A R Gladstone Pushparaj, IAS, District Collector, Ranipet presented awards to the winners. R Dinesh, Std XII won 3rd place in the 10 Kms Marathon boys with a time of 36.50 minutes. S Sharmila, of Std XI won 3rd place in 10 Kms Marathon girls with a time of 44.50 minutes. They both received cash prize of Rs 3,500 each. V Vasanthi, of Std VII won 3rd place in 5 kms marathon with time of 22.30 minutes and got a cash price of Rs 2,000.
