In opposition to the harmful pollution that is too often created on Bhogi day, Sevalaya annually promotes an ecofriendly alternative. On 12th January 2019, a mammoth rally was flagged off by Mr. R. Jayavel, Inspector of Police, Vengal Police Station. A large number of students from Sevalaya and from others schools around took part, carrying placards which displayed the hazaards of Plastics and Rubber.
The rally started at Pakkam Market area, and went round villages to raise awareness amongst the general public, finishing at Sevalaya’s main campus.
