Sevalaya has opened an Ophthal Clinic, a new addition to the Kasuva medical centre. This will greatly benefit Sevalaya’s residents, particularly elders of its old age home, staff members, hostel students, and villagers around.
Mr. Rahul Bohra, CEO, Bohra Sports Academy, participated as Chief Guest. He lauded the special efforts of Sevalaya in serving the people, particularly noting its reaching of villages three days in a week to give them medical help. The audience, comprising, youth from villages and students of Sevalaya watched as he gave prizes to the participants who had got involved and answered questions.
In collaboration with the Bohra Eye Hospital, Sevalaya will now be conducting free eye check-ups and cataract screenings twice a week for its residents and local villagers.
Tests at the new clinic will be conducted for Cataract and other eye related problems so that patients can be quickly will be referred recommended to local hospitals.
Others participants were: Sevalaya’s Health Centre Doctors, Nursing assistants, Phisiotherapists, and Staff of Bohra Hospital, Avadi. Mr. V. Muralidharan, Founder and Managing Trustee, Sevalaya, welcomed the dignitaries and the general public. Mr. Amarchand Jain, Advisor, proposed vote of thanks.
