A great statesman and former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu K Kamaraj’s birth Anniversary was celebrated on 15th July 2021 at Sevalaya, Kasuva, Thiruvallur District.
The Chief Guest Durga Ram, Correspondent of Tiny Toddlers playschool, Mylapore, inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp and paying respects to the leader.
Speaking on the occasion, the special guest said, “Both education and discipline.are essential for the students to shine in life.” She also spoke about Kamaraj under whose leadership thousands of schools were opened all over Tamilnadu and education became accessible to the poor. “It is apt that Kamaraj’s birthday is celebrated as Education Development Day.” she observed.
The Chief Guest donated toys , biscuits and tables and chairs for the hostel children.
Earlier, on the eve of Kamaraj’s birthday, painting , oratorical and quiz competitions were conducted online. 1449 students from 29 districts across Tamilnadu participated. Of these, 105 students were selected as winners. The Chief Guest distributed prizes to the winners from local schools in the vicinity of Kasuva centre, who attended the event.
