410 Volunteers from SPi Global visited Sevalaya Campus, Chennai to take part in volunteering activities. They were split into three groups namely (Bharathi – School Activities, Gandhi- Rural Activities, Vivekanadha-Homes).
75 volunteers helped us with cleaning the dining hall, old age home along with their bedding. We were immensely happy to see 25 volunteers helping with laying pathway outside the old age home premises.
120 volunteers assisted with organic farming and Gaushala activities. They involved themselves with de-weeding, sieving vermicomposte, vegetable cutting, irrigation, vermicomposte packing. Apart from this, 200 volunteers helped with school activities like computerization of library books and spending time with children of all classes.
Post lunch they organized some exciting games like running, ball throwing, skipping for the students of Std I to V and also encouraged them by giving prizes.
