Komatsu India Private Limited as part of its CSR activities, has sponsored the construction of a girls toilet complex at Sevalaya School, Kasuva on 22nd Feb 2024

As part of its CSR activities, Komatsu India Private Limited has sponsored the construction of a
girls toilet complex at Sevalaya’s Mahakavi Bharathiyar Higher Secondary School, Kasuva
village near Thiruninravur, Thiruvallur District.
The complex was inaugurated on 22nd February 2024 by Kazuyoshi Ura, Plant Manager, Sr.
Vice President and Director, Komatsu India Private Limited, in the presence of senior officials
from Komatsu India Private Limited, Natsuki Takahashi, Sr. Manager, HR, GA and ICT, S
Kailash, Sr. Manager, HR and GA and S Dillibabu Deputy Manager, HR and GA.
Built at a cost of Rs 14.5 lakhs, with facilities ensuring accessibility to the disabled, the new
toilets will benefit around 600 girls studying in the school and help ease congestion at the
existing toilet complex.
Kazuyoshi Ura, Plant Manager, Sr. Vice President and Director, in his address, expressed his
pleasure in Komatsu India being able to contribute to the good cause. He encouraged the girl
students to use the facility and provide feedback for any improvements. He also advised the
students to make the best of their school life and make friends while also ensuring their studies.
Earlier, Sevalaya Murali, Founder and Managing Trustee, Sevalaya, welcomed the gathering
and highlighted the importance of adequate toilet facilities, in ensuring that girl students in rural
areas continue their education beyond high school.
