Celebrating the legacy of C. Rajagopalachari at Sevalaya’s Kasuva Centre

On 6th January 2023, Sevalaya celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Chakravarti Rajagopalachari (Rajaji-
the First Indian Governor General of Independent India and a great Statesman at Kasuva Centre. K V
Balasubramanian , Meterologist (Retd), Writer, Translator was the Chief Guest of the event. The Chief
Guest garlanded the photo of Rajaji placed on Dias.

In his speech K V Balasubramanian presented a PowerPoint on the books written by Rajaji in both
English and Tamil. He also said that Rajaji has wrote many Science books for easy understanding.The
Chief Guest in his speech also provided valuable insights on meteorology, including weather, climate,
and natural disasters. Finally there was an interactive session were he responded to queries of the
participants.

Earlier competiton on the Life of Rajaji were conducted all over Tamil Nadu. 564 children from 13
districts participated in various competitions like oratorical, quiz, and essay writing.21 students from
Sevalaya were selected as winners and runners in various categories and received prizes at the hands of
the Chief Guest.

The Chief Guest honoured the winners who won several medals at zonal-level tournament conducted by
Department of Social Welfare in Chennai on 29th December 2022. 1750 students from 7 districts
participated . 10 boys and 5 girls from Sevalaya were selected for state-level tournaments.

Earlier Sevalaya Murali, Founder of Sevalaya, welcomed the gathering. Students of Sevalaya performed
dance to the songs penned by Rajaji.
