As a part of its CSR initiative PPG Asian Paints, a leading global paints and coatings company donated 7 lakhs worth of Chemistry lab equipment and materials to Arignar Anna Government Arts College in Villupuram on 16th December 2022.
Sevalaya is the implementation partner, co-ordinating the purchase of the equipment and arranging the handing over.
Leo Christoper, Plant Head, PPG Asian Paints India private limited handed over the equipment to Dr R Sivakumar, Principal, Arignar Anna Government Arts College, Villupuram in presence of Dr G Boopathy HOD, Chemistry Department.
Leo Christopher, Plant Head, PPG Asian Paints mentioned that one of the focus area of his company for the CSR projects is women education and empowerment. His company was happy to donate equipment to modernize the chemistry lab at the college and advised students to make best use of it .He expressed his hope that the corporate would extend their support to the college for the future requirements.
PPG Asian paints has been partnering with Sevalaya for the past 11 years to implement its CSR projects.
R Sivakumar, the Principal of Arignar Anna Government Arts College, said that he was proud that his college is known for its strong research program and the high-quality work that his college students and faculty produce. He thanked PPG Asian Paints for their generous donation of chemistry lab equipment. He encouraged all the students to make best use of these opportunities.
Earlier V Muralidharan Founder and Management Trustee welcomed the gathering. Dr G Boopathy HOD, Chemistry Department, Arignar Anna Government Arts college proposed a vote of thanks.
