Sevalaya firmly believes in securing the future of the children, by imparting values consistent with our society. On the eve of Mohandas Gandhi’s departure to England for higher studies (Bar-at-Law), his lovable mother got his firm promise that he will not touch liquor. This only had facilitated him to get permission from his mother Putli Ba, in the year 1888. Just us Mohandas Gandhi promised to his mother, Sevalaya students take an oath, holding their mother’s hand, that they will not touch liquor in their lives.
