Many Road Safety initiatives at Oragadam junction, sponsored by Renault Nissan Automotive India P Ltd, Super Gas, Chennai Radha Engineering Works P Ltd, MS Metals and Steels Pvt Ltd, NICHIAS, Stahl, Komatsu, Steel Strips Wheels Limited, TVS Sundaram Clayton Ltd and Rion Services Corp will be inaugurated on 3rd February 2022 at 4:30 PM.
These initiatives are a part of their Rural Development activities and include
i. Installation of 110 CCTV Cameras and Maintenance
ii. Construction of Roundtana
iii. Road Signals at Junction
iv. Solar Blinker
v. Police Outpost and Barricade at Oragadam Junction
The project worth ₹41 lacs is implemented by Sevalaya. Dr M Sudhakar IPS, Supdt of Police, Kanchipuram, Biju Balendran MD and CEO of Renault Nissan Automotive India Private Ltd and Rajasekara Bhat, General Manager, Renault Nissan Automative India Pvt Ltd will be inaugurating the projects.
The installation of CCTV Cameras will help to ensure safety of the public in the area, reduce crime rates, gathering evidence and tracking of the criminals. The barricades will help to reduce traffic jam and congestion on the roads.
