Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, many families of daily wagers have been affected. They are not able to earn a livelihood and the children do not get enough food. With the help of donors, Sevalaya is doing everything possible to alleviate their plight.
Sevalaya provided breakfast for 15 days (from 1st July 2021 to 15th July 2021) to 130 tribal children from the 200 Irula families living in Thirukkandalam village, 25 Kms from it’s Kasuva centre where 200 Irula families live. These families are worst affected by the pandemic as they have no means to earn a livelihood, due to the lockdown restrictions.
