Sevalaya conducted a contest for best decorated Ganesha on the occasion of Vinayagar Chathurthi. There were 100+ entries for the contest the best four Decorated Ganesha were chosen by a panel of Judges.
The Vinayagar Chathurthi contest prize distribution was held on 23rd September 2021 at ShoppeSeva, Mylapore. Sushi Natarajan, Past Chairman, Inner wheel club, Dist 323 was the Chief Guest for the function and distributed the prizes for the winners.

- I Prize: H Pritesh, Villivakam
- II Prize: K B Akshaya, Madhavaram
- III Prize: D Prakul, Korattur
- IV Prize: Yashika; Chintadripet
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest said that Sevalaya’s actions were miraculous and the actions of Muralitharan, who has been pushing it forward for 34 years, was like an ocean, adding that she was satisfied to be like a drop of that ocean by her small contribution
Sevalaya’s Founder and Managing Trustee spoke about Sevalaya’s Founder and Managing Trustee spoke about how the proceeds from the sales from ShoppeSeva are channelized towards charitable activities of Sevalaya benefiting the Underprivileged.
He also shared about Win Win Win situation and how this cycle works. Beneficiaries are trained in a skill towards generating a regular income, the product produced is marketed through ShoppeSeva connecting a donor, all income raised through product sales is ploughed back to build a skill of another beneficiary and related activities.
