Inauguration of classroom sponsored by DTCC in the new Primary School Block
A classroom in the new Primary school building at Kasuva centre of Sevalaya, sponsored by DTCC under their CSR programme, was inaugurated on 23rd September 2021.
5 companies jointly donated 2 crores for the construction of the new primary school building, as a part of their CSR initiatives. The new building powered by solar energy has 12 spacious, well ventilated and furnished classrooms, equipped with smart boards, CCTV cameras, and RO water facility. The building has the capacity to accommodate 500 more needy children, who will have access to quality education free of cost.
Praveen Manivannan, Executive Director, DTCC, Chandra Kumaran Pragalathan, Executive Director, Chennai site Lead, DTCC and Gopinath Jayaraman, Associate Director, DTCC joined the inaugural function, online.
Sevalaya Murali welcomed the gathering. The school children presented a colourful cultural programme.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guests expressed their delight in partnering with Sevalaya. They appreciated the way the project was efficiently executed on time by Sevalaya, despite the pandemic, which will benefit 500 poor children.
A A Kingston, VP, Operations M T Anandan, Primary School Headmaster and R Vijaya, Headmistress Sevalaya participated in the event.
Prasanna Parthasarathy, VP Donor Relations, Sevalaya proposed the vote of thanks and the program ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
