“Pamaranin Bhagavad Geethai” book authored by V Muralidharan Unveiled at Grand Event Hosted by Sevalaya and Vanathi Pathippagam

“Pamaranin Bhagavad Geethai”, a book authored by V Muralidharan, Founder and Managing Trustee of Sevalaya and published by Vanathi Pathippagam was released at a function held at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore on 20th June 2024.
Chief Guest Poojyasri Dharmishtananda Maharaj, Officiating President, Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai released the book in the presence of other Chief Guests and delivered the special address. In his address, he expressed happiness to be releasing the book on this special occasion amidst esteemed dignitaries.
A children’s book authored by 7 year old Master Bhuvan Vijay from Ireland was also released on the occasion.
Earlier, Vanathi Ramanathan welcomed the Special Guests and stated that the book was a practical guide on how to live one’s life in today’s fast-paced world.
Delivering his acceptance speech, author, Founder and Managing Trustee of Sevalaya, V Muralidharan, stated that, The Bhagavad Gita holds significant relevance in the lives of Mahatma Gandhi, Mahakavi Bharathiyar, and Swami Vivekananda. “In this book, I have articulated my reflections, drawing on the symbolism of Vijaya holding a bow and Kannan, the god of yoga, reflecting right knowledge holding the reins of the sense organs and any action taken with the right knowledge leads to success”. He noted that the book’s cover effectively conveys this concept and expressed gratitude to the media representatives.
The book “Pamaranin Bhagavad Geethai” is based on the author’s reading of Mahatma Gandhi’s “The Bhagavad Gita – According to Gandhi,” the translation of the Gita by Mahakavi Bharathiyar and Swami Vivekananda’s speeches with reference to the Gita. In the book, the author presents a layman’s perspective of the Gita based on day-to- day incidents in one’s life.

Great Grandson of Mahakavi Bharathiyar, Kalaimamani Rajkumar Bharathi, Writer and Senior Journalist Maalan, Poet, Speaker and Actor, Kalaimamani Isaikkavi Ramanan, Popular Artist, Maniam Selvan, Dr S Sundar, Founder, Freedom Trust, V Nandakumar IRS, Commissioner, Income Tax Department, N Avudaiyappan, Former Director, Directorate of Public Libraries, Kalaimamani Ervadi S Radhakrishnan, Editor, Kavithai Uravu, Kalaimamani Tiruppur Krishnan, Editor, Amudha Surabhi, Keezhambur Sankarasubramanian, Editor, Kalaimagal, R Lakshmipathy, Joint Director, Dinamalar, R Venkatesh, Editor, Pattam – Dinamalar, Kalaimamani MakkalKural V Ramji and Cardiologist Dr N Sivakadaksham also graced the occasion.
Children from Vedapuri Kabalicharam Padashala delivered performances. The function concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Sevalaya Bhuvana and the singing of the National Anthem.
