On 26th January 2023, Sevalaya celebrated the 74th Republic Day at Mahakavi Bharatiyar Higher Secondary School at Kasuva Centre in Thiruvallur District.
A Ramesh Aditya, Head of Strategy at Shankar IAS Academy, S Govindaraj, Senior Functional Consultant at Yellow Stone Sof2tech PVT Ltd, an Alumnus of Sevalaya and S Naveen Kumar, Pricing & Commercial Officer at Emirates Shipping Line India PVT Ltd, an Alumnus of Sevalaya were the chief guests. More than 1980 students and 70 senior citizens participated in the celebrations.
The chief guests started off the celebrations by hoisting the national flag, followed by the singing of the Kodi padal. The students presented a cultural performance including a gymnastics event.
The farewell party for the outgoing Std XII was conducted on the same day. Many alumini shared the experiences with the batch and the function ended with the lighting of candles.
As usual blood donation camp was organized by Sevalaya Alumini in association with Red Cross- Egmore. Alumini, Villagers from Kasuva, and parents came forward to donate blood. 56 units of blood were collected.
