Sevalaya’s Vadanallur unit organised planting of tree saplings in Kattuppakkam village. This includes, fruit-tree-saplings also. Presiding over the function, Mr. V. Muralidharan, Founder and Managing Trusstee said that to mark Sevalaya’s 30 year services in the matter of Rural development, it has been decided to plant 30000 tree saplings. Accordingly in the next phase 100 saplings have been planted. Further he said it will be watered and protected from cattles, besides caring against withering away. Thus Sevalaya will sysematically monitor also (all the saplings planted and to be planted), and to ensure their full growth .Sevalaya takes this initiative to protect environment and preserve nature’s bounty, ” This initiative has been carried out by the help from Ms. Smitha Sridhar, an NRI in USA,.
