Nordex India Donates School Essentials and Inaugurates Infrastructure Facilities at Sevalaya

With the aim of improving the quality of education for underprivileged students, Nordex India Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd. sponsored various equipment to the students of Sevalaya. The company also inaugurated a changing room for students at the playground and expanded infrastructure facilities at the Medical centre.

During a function held on 14 May 2026, officials from Nordex India donated 20 fans, a lamination machine, two water dispensers, a photocopier, and an almirah. The total value of the project is approximately ₹16.84 lakhs. Surender Ramasamy, Senior Manager – P&C, Balraj Chinnish, Senior Manager – Country Security, Chelladurai Munusamy, Executive and Mohandas, HR Manager from Nordex India graced the occasion as the Chief Guests.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohandas said, “It is truly remarkable that Sevalaya School, which started in a small hut, has now grown into a mighty banyan tree. Sevalaya’s mission is very broad, and we will continue to support it in every possible way.” Balraj encouraged the students, saying, “Life is full of challenges; you must learn to face them and move forward. I too studied in a hostel and faced many difficulties. After serving in the Army and overcoming setbacks, I am now working in this organisation. Do not lose hope because of failure. Believe in yourself and keep progressing.”

Surender said, “This time, we have extended greater support than before. Even if we cannot directly do social work, we will continue to support Sevalaya. We believe the students will make good use of the materials provided.” The event commenced with a prayer, lighting of a kuthuvilakku and a cultural performance by Sevalaya children. Mementos were presented to the special guests.

Earlier, R Vijaya, Head, Education, Sevalaya, delivered the welcome address. She introduced Sevalaya’s activities and thanked Nordex for providing essential materials to the students last year as well. K Pandi, English Teacher, Sevalaya, delivered the vote of thanks.
