Every year Sevalaya celebrates Ramanujan day to honour the legendary mathematician, by organising a maths talent test for students in Chennai and Thiruvallur Districts. Amirtham Surya, Senior Sub Editor, Kalki Magazine, who has authored valuable books on diverse topics, was the Chief Guest at the function held this year on 25th December 2019. 26 schools participated in this years’ competitions and 22 winners received their prizes from the Chief Guest. Sevalaya students presented a cultural programme which included a dance of shapes, a skit highlighting the mathematical wisdom of our fore-fathers and a talk on Ramanujan’ s life and work
