LatentView Analytics, in partnership with Sevalaya distributes bicycles, laptops and provision kits to families affected by Wayanad landslides
School students and their families, affected by the Wayanad landslides that devastated the region in July-August 2024 received various household provision items, bicycles and laptops in an event in Meppadi, Wayanad district on 27 November 2024. The bicycles were sponsored by LatentView Analytics, as part of their CSR activities. T Bennyhinn from the CSR Team of LatentView Analytics was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. The laptops were sponsored by Sevalaya and provision materials were sponsored by G Ramanathan, Trustee, Sevalaya. Bennyhinn in his speech shared that he was very glad that his organisation has been able to contribute to the rehabilitation efforts at Wayanad. He highlighted that LatentView Analytics used to celebrate Onam every year and that this year they instead decided to spend the funds on the landslide relief efforts.The laptops, bicycles and provision kits were handed over to the children and their families by the Guest of Honour along with V Muralidharan, Founder and Managing Trustee, Sevalaya. Earlier, welcoming the children, parents and guests on the occasion, V Muralidharan, spoke about how Sevalaya felt the need for rehabilitation in the region and had previously provided support materials and relief kits containing 24 items to affected families from Wayanad on 5 September 2024. Kingston A A, Vice President, Operations, Sevalaya delivered the Vote of Thanks and thanked the Guest of Honour, children and parents for their presence. He also shared that Sevalaya is taking efforts to continue to provide support in the near future. Sevalaya is a registered charitable trust headquartered in Chennai, operating since 1988. Sevalaya Samaritan runs a free 24X7 hospital in Gudalur primarily serving the tribal communities. The organisation also runs free after school study centres and mobile medical camps in the region. Sevalaya also runs a free school for 2,200+ underprivileged children at their campus located in Thiruvallur. Spread across 30+ centres in South India, Sevalaya also provides skill development courses for youth, runs children and old age homes, hospitals, healthcare and rural development projects, gaushalas and organic farms, with all its services provided free of cost, reaching nearly 8,00,000 beneficiaries in 36 years.
