Krishna Jayanthi was celebrated at Sevalaya’s Mahakavi Bharathiyar Higher Secondary School,
Kasuva centre in Thiruvallur district on 27th August 2024.
Sampoojya Swami Vinayamritananda Puri, Administrative Director, Amrita Vishwa
Vidyapeetham – Chennai, graced the event as the Chief Guest and commenced the programme
by lighting the lamp and offering puja to Lord Krishna.
Students dressed up as Krishna and Radha and presented the cultural programme.
The Chief Guest emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from the teachings of saints
and imparting their wisdom into our lives.
He stressed the need for sincere devotion in prayer and urged the students to cultivate
courage, as exemplified by Mahakavi Bharathiyar.
He advised that in times of difficulty, one should turn to God in prayer. Academic excellence,
along with the development of strong morals, positive traits, and good qualities, was highlighted
as essential.
He further encouraged the students to eliminate negative emotions such as dishonesty, anger,
harmful thoughts, unhealthy competition, and jealousy from their lives.
V Muralidharan, Founder and Managing Trustee, Sevalaya, welcomed the gathering and
greeted the Chief Guest.
