GRAND INAUGURATION OF TAMIL CLUB IN SEVALAYA

Sevalaya has inaugurated Tamil Club in its campus for the benefit of its students. This initiative has been taken to develop our students with in-depth knowledge in Tamil and poems. The grand inauguration took place in our campus at 11.00 with participation of eminent persons. V. Muralidharan, Founder and Managing Trustee, Sevalaya welcomed all.

Participating as Chief Guest, Dr. P. Killivalavan, HOD, R.V. Arts College, Chengalpet, spoke about the importance of humility  and how it makes a person whole. To stress the importance of Tamil, he said that in the text books, after national anthem, praise for Tamil takes place.

Noted poet Thiru Vivek Bharathi, in his speech said that one should have self -confidence while attempting to compose poems and should be well read on diverse topics. He emphasized more on the beauty of Bharathi’s poems.

Tamil Teacher Mr. Prathap said that the club will be headed by Ms. Kanchana and Ms. Shakila. The outfit will be guided by Ms. Nirmala, Mr. Prathap, Ms. Malarmathi, Mr. Mahalingam for students to develop keen interest in Tamil.

The objectives of the Club are: a) To create and develop orators and writers;  b) Meaningful argumentative talents be developed through debate sessions;  c) To know thoroughly Vinayagar Naanmanimaalai, given by Mahakavi Bharathiyar.  d) Literatures e) Students should take active part in epic plays f) To organize competitions and encourage students.
