Sevalaya’s Ambattur Community College performed Ayutha Pooja at its Ambatatur Community College to mark its 9-day Navarathri festival.  Smt. Revathy Surya, Senior Journalist,  Editor, (former Executive Editor, Kalki Tamil weekly) participated as the Chief guest and presented her speech to the participants.

She drew the lines from our scriptures that the blessings from the parents, preceptor and the Almighty are essential for everyone. Continuing her speech she lauded the great efforts of Sevalaya in the services to the rural poor.  She suggested Sevalaya, that the students should also develop their skill and knowledge in music and also know journalism.  If necessary I will give necessary training to them, she said.


She also visited the “Seva Shop” situated in the precinct of the Community College premises and bought some articles. She assured all her support to Sevalaya.

Earlier, Mr. V. Muralidharan, Founder and Managing Trustee, Sevalaya, in his welcome address, introduced Mrs. Revathy to the audience. He particularly mentioned Revathy’s long drawn services in the field of journalism and expressed his happiness that she has been Sevalaya’s long time supporter”

Mrs. Mohavalli, Associated Vice President, Sevalaya,  proposed vote of thanks.
