Destitute children at Sevalaya celebrate Christmas with Santa Claus and guests from Gainwell
Technologies, ChennaiWith Christmas just a few days away, underprivileged children at Sevalaya grandly celebrated Christmason 20 December 2024 at Sevalaya’s Kasuva Centre, near Thiruninravur, with guests from Gainwell
Technologies, Chennai.Sridevi Mogilineedi, HR Advisor, Gainwell Technologies, Chennai graced the occasion as Chief Guest.Vivek Raja, Trustee, Raindropss Charity Foundation was also present on the occasion.
Nearly 100 boys and girls from Sevalaya’s Children’s Homes attended the celebration. A special
Christmas cake prepared by underprivileged youth from Sevalaya’s Community College Bakery unit was
cut on the occasion. The highlight of the event was the grand entry of Santa Claus. The children could
not contain their excitement and danced with joy. Staff members from Gainwell Technologies
conducted fun games and activities and distributed gifts that they had bought for the children.
Earlier, welcoming the guests and Sevalaya children, L N Anupriya, Head- Quality and Volunteering,
Sevalaya expressed gratitude to Gainwell Technologies for their kind gesture and also thanked
Raindropss Charity Foundation for connecting Gainwell Technologies with Sevalaya for a noble cause.
Sevalaya students presented engaging cultural performances. Birthdays of children from Sevalaya
Homes were also celebrated on the occasion.M T Anandan, Head- Homes, Sevalaya delivered the Vote of Thanks.
Sevalaya is a registered charitable trust headquartered in Chennai, operating since 1988. More than
2,200 underprivileged children are provided education at their campus located near Thiruninravur.
Spread across 40+ centres in South India, Sevalaya also provides skill development courses for youth,
runs After-School Study Centres, Children and Old Age Homes, Hospitals, healthcare and rural
development projects, gaushalas and organic farms, with all its services provided free of cost, reaching
nearly 8,00,000 beneficiaries in 36 years.
