On June 5th,2018,with the help from M/s. Hyundai Glovis duly represented by Mr. Tae Young Park, Managing Director, Mr. Ramana, COO, HR & GA Hyundai Glovis, Ms. Rubini V.e. CSR Co-ordinator, Hyundai Glovis, Mr. Neelakantan,R, GM Transport (Sales/Planning) under their CSR contributions, and Mr. M. Kesavan, Executive Officer,Uthramerur Town Panchayat, Kancheepuram District, Sevalaya undertook the pond desilting project in Somanathapuram, which falls under the jurisdiction of Uthramerur Town Panchayat. The highlight is that it is 2000 year old pond and therefore it assumes historic importance! It is a matter of natural coincidence that this day marks the Environment day. Added to this, 50 tree sapplings were also be planted and Solar Posts installed around the pond.
Another highlight of the same day event was RO Plant unauguration took place and it is brought to public use on a permanent basis.
All these above projects and initiatives of Sevalaya have been supported by M/s Hyundai Glovis under their CSR contributions.
Mr. V. Muralidharan, Founder and Managing Trustee, Sevalaya and senior members participated in the event.
Thus, Sevalaya took this great occasion to celebrate World Environment Day in a fitting manner.
