Sevalaya has been celebrating Children’s Day with children of Tiruvallur District Government
General Hospital for the past few years. Similarly this year too children’s day was celebrated
on 14th November 2022.
Sevalaya children entertained the children in the hospital with a dance to cheer them up and
wished them a speedy recovery. Food items like biscuits, bread and fruits (banana, apple and
satikudi) were provided to 50 children. The Special guests at this program were A R
selvakumar, District and sessions Judge (Retd), Member state Human rights commission, Tamil
Nadu (Retd), Dr. Arasi Srivatsan MD, (OG), Dean, Govt Medical college and hospital,
Thiruvallur, Dr. Rajkumar DCH, RMO,Govt Medical college and
hospital, Thiruvallur, Dr. Seenivasan, MD(Paed) HOD Department of Paediatrics,Govt Medical
college and hospital, Thiruvallur.
Selvakumar said, “Those who give happiness to others do not need to go to the temple. God
will come looking for them. Doctors are equal to God. They are walking gods.”
He said that seeing the service attitude of Sevalaya is very awe-inspiring. He also remembered
Mother Teresa’s spirit of service and wished the children speedy recovery. Dr.Arasi Srivatsan
and Dr Seenivasan thanked Sevalaya for entertaining the children every year.
Earlier, Amarchand Jain, Advisor, Sevalaya welcomed the gathering, Dr. J Gokula
Krishnan, Head Health Services, Sevalaya proposed the vote of thanks.
