Officer, Sundaram Finance Limited graced the occasion as Chief Guests.
Built at the cost of ₹10 lakhs, the waiting hall will benefit the patients
from villages in and around Kasuva who are provided free medical consultation,
treatment and medicines at the centre. Inaugurating the waiting hall, the
Chief Guests interacted with the medical team consisting of doctors,
nurses and paramedical staff to understand the various free services being
provided to the community. After watching Shalini, a Sevalaya alumna who
now works at Sevalaya’s Old Age Home, in the introduction video, the Chief
Guests expressed their interest in meeting her. Guided by Shalini, the guests
visited Sevalaya’s Old Age Home and interacted with the residents. The guests
also visited the Community College and Bakery unit and interacted with
the students. Speaking on the occasion in the presence of Sevalaya students,
the Chief Guests shared that they were really impressed by the work being
done at Sevalaya and encouraged the students to study well with Sevalaya’s
support so that they could attain good employment and reach respectable
positions in society. The Chief Guests also promised to provide support for
Sevalaya’s various activities and placements for Community College students.
School students presented engaging cultural performances.
Earlier, Anupriya L N, Head, Quality and Volunteering, Sevalaya welcomed
the gathering. Prasanna P, Vice President, Donor Relations, Sevalaya delivered
the Vote of Thanks. Kala Rao, Member, Executive Committee, Sevalaya was also present.
