142th Birth Anniversary of Mahakhavi Bharathiyar was celebrated at Chellamma Bharathi Learning Centre in Kadayam, Tenkasi district on 11th December 2023.
The Chief Guest, Dr Thiruppur Krishnan, garlanded the statue of Chellamma- Bharathi.
Thenaruvi Thenral, Professor, Sivakasi Ramachandran, Tamil Thenral Sethu Ramalingam, President, Bharathi Readers Circle, Mukilan,Writer, Sudalai, District Education Officer(Retd.) and students participated in the event and paid floral tributes.
Various competitions for students of schools in Tamil Nadu were held.
3260 students from more than 76 schools in 29 districts participated. Prizes were distributed to the 300 winners by the Chief Guest.
Sanitary kits were distributed to adolescent girls in schools in Tirunelveli and Tenkasi district. These kits were sponsored by Amrutanjan.
