Children’s Day was celebrated at Kasuva Centre on 17th November 2020. R Dhasthageer, District Child Protection Officer, Thiruvallur and S Komala, Founder of Iniya Udhayam Charitable Trust & JJ Act Committee Member were the Chief Guests at the event. A colourful cultural dance was performed by the students with traditional grace. N Annapurna, Trustee, welcomed the gathering.
In his address to the students, the Chief Guest advised them to set goals for themselves and make best use of the opportunities provided to them.
S Komala sang songs for the children and told them to unravel their innate talents that God has bestowed on them. She explained about her organization and encouraged the students to reach a good position in life as well. She applauded the students who participated in the speech competition.
V N Jagan, Std X, V Lavanya, Std IX and R Rajeshwari, Std VIII were the winners of the speech competition.
The Speech, Drawing and Sports competitions were conducted by the District Child Protection Unit.
Prizes were distributed to the winners and participants by the Chief Guest.
M T Anandan, HM, Primary School presented a memento to the Chief Guest and proposed the Vote of Thanks.
The event ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
