Asian paints – Sevalaya initiative to provide drinking water facility for Mannadipet Panchayat
As a part of its CSR initiative, PPG Asian Paints, a leading global paints and coatings company, donated 8 and a half lakhs worth of equipment for drawing water from bore wells, to Mannadipet Commune Panchayat, Thirubhuvanai, on 16th December 2022.
Sevalaya is the implementation partner, coordinating the purchase of the equipment and arranging the handing over. PPG Asian paints has been partnering with Sevalaya for the past 11 years to implement various CSR projects.
Leo Christoper, Plant Head, PPG Asian Paints India private limited, handed over the water facility materials to V Ejileradjane, Commissioner, Mannadipet Commune Panchayat, Thirubhuvanai.
Leo Christopher mentioned that two of the focus area of his company for the CSR projects are women’s education and water related projects. He expressed the hope that the Panchayat will make good use of the newly added facility.
Ejileradjane, Commissioner, Mannadipet Commune Panchayat, thanked Asian paints for coming forward to create the infrastructure that will ensure availability of water, a basic need of the people. He requested help from corporates to meet such basic needs
V Muralidharan explained the activities of Sevalaya, including running of community colleges.
Earlier, S John, Project coordinator, Sevalaya welcomed the gathering. Anbuselvam Mannadipet Commune Panchayat, proposed a vote of thanks.
