Nikhil Johri, a long time donor, donated 75 Grocery kits with Sevalaya undertaking the responsibility to distribute the kits to the impoverished communities affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic in Tiruvallur district comprising of physically challenged individuals, widows and cutlers who sharpen knives for a living.
Villappakkam and Kirakam Poondi are the villages covered by the NGO, where Grocery kits were distributed to 75 underprivileged families on 29th September 2020.
The Grocery kits consisted of 10kgs rice, 1 litre edible oil and other essentials worth ₹ 1000. The total value of the project was ₹ 75000.
