Sevalaya Murali presented with lifetime achievement award

On 8th August 2017, Sevalaya Murali, Founder and Managing Trustee received the Lifetime achievement award, conferred by Soka Ikeda College of Arts and Science for Women, Chennai.

The award was presented at a grand function at Soka Ikeda college by the Chief Guest Dr Muthusami Kumaran, Associate Professor, Non-Profit Management and Community Organisation, Department of Family, Youth and Community Sciences, University of Florida, USA. While speaking at the function, Dr Kumaran emphatically mentioned that having traveled all over the world and seen the work of many NGOs, Sevalaya was the only organisation that provided all the services totally free of cost to its beneficiaries consistently right since inception. He further opined that the range of activities offered by Sevalaya is very unique and geared towards development of the underprivileged community.
