Sevalaya runs four Old Age Homes across Tamil Nadu, currently caring for 130 destitute elders (men and women).
- The Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Old Age Home at Kasuva, was started in 1988.
- The Gandhi Ashram Krishnan Memorial Old Age Home at Thanjavur was set up in 2017.
- The V T Shanthi Senior Citizens Home at Dharmapuri commenced operations in 2021.
- The Janaki Ammal Vijayaraghavachariar Memorial Senior Citizens Home at Zamin Endathur was established in 2022.
The Homes provide food, shelter, clothing, healthcare and mental health counselling by professionally trained staff, ensuring physical and emotional well-being. Elders participate in leisurely activities and games, gardening, temple visits and outings and spirituality sessions. They also share their lives with children from Sevalaya’s Homes on the same campus, fostering bonds across generations. Sevalaya also takes care of their end-of-life needs and conducts their funerals with dignity.

Meals
Sevalaya serves nearly 1,650 meals everyday at its centres in Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu, Dharmapuri, Thanjavur and The Nilgiris for children and elders. In addition, we provide annadhanam during natural disasters or festive occasions around our centre, in surrounding villages and temples.
