90 students and 60 senior citizens came to Mylapore Fine Arts academy on three days to watch and enjoy plays on Bhakta Jayadevar, Swami Bodhendrar and Bhaja Govindham (a play on Adi Shankara). The plays were conceived and enacted by Mahalakshmi Ladies Group Trust, founded by Bombay Gnanam a noted stage artiste and were free programmes staged by the group, with a view to spread the life and message of the great saints of India. On 8th July 2017, a group of devotees from Avadi visited Sevalaya to celebrate Guru Poornima. They sang bhajans, conducted a Pooja, and spoke about the importance a ‘guru’ in our lives. They also provided lunch for the children and the elders.
