Two ambulances of Sevalaya, one funded by Vishay Precision Group of Companies (VPG) and one more by Renault Nissan Automotive India Pvt Ltd (RNAIPL) under CSR are now pressed into service for transporting COVID patients to Government Hospital in Kanchipuram and to take the cured patients back to their homes.
Mageshwari Ravikumar, IAS, Kancheepuram District Collector, inaugurated the service by flagging off the ambulances on 18th May 2021.
The ambulances are well equipped and will be operated by Sevalaya. They will be stationed at the Government General Hospital, Kanchipuram to respond immediately to emergency calls.
VPG and RNAIPL are sponsoring the operating expenses for the ambulances.
