On 6th August, Cultural Paddy Festival and Exhibition, Cuddalore. Mr. Suresh Kumar IAS, (Cuddalore) participated as a special chief guest to this function.
Agriculture professors, Expert Farmers, students and villagers attended the program. The program was organized by Reliance foundation, Agricultural society environmental and Agricultural development office. The objective of the festivals is to make benefits out of tradition. Totally 400 members participated in this cultural event.
Key concepts for encouraging the farmers for cultivation are:
- Providing major incentives to farmers for raising rice cultivation,
- Agricultural subsidy for machinery,
- Organic farming rice and vegetables .
- Agriculture loan
- Award for best farmers etc.,
Seeds, machinery, organic manures, pesticides and irrigating method were explained and the models were placed in the exhibition.
