Sevalaya and IIT Madras Unite for ‘IIT for All’ Programme on Republic Day
Sevalaya and Indian Institute of Technology Madras signed a Memorandum of Agreement to implement the programme ‘IIT or All’ during the 75th Republic Day celebrations at Sevalaya’s Kasuva centre on 26th January 2024.
Under this scheme, ‘Vidya Shakti’, free online classes through Zoom platform will be conducted for 2000+ rural students in subjects like Maths, Science, English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from Std V to XII. IITM will provide technical support and study materials, ensuring a real-time virtual classroom experience to enhance their understanding.
Balamurali Shankar, Head of Digital Skills Academy, IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation, Chennai, hoisted the National Flag and spoke about the importance of Education for India to achieve superpower status in its centenary year of independence 2047.
P Nagarajan, Managing Trustee, Open Mentor Trust, Dr S Sivasubramanian, International Convenor, Operations – Vidya Shakti & Kalvi Shakti and Sevalaya alumnus Dr. K Nandakumar, Physiotherapist, Robust Physio Care & Strength Training Centre were the Special Guests on the occasion.
