Sevalaya, every year organizes Ramanujan Day for the benefit of children to imbue mathematical talents by drawing inspiration from the mathematics genius. on 23rd December 2015, a function was held in its campus at 11 am. Ms. Kavitha Sampson, wife of superintendent of police participated as chief guest to the function and said that education is a key to success and with this view only Sevalaya provides free education to the rural poor. She recalled the achievements and contributions of mathematics genius Ramanujan and adviced the children to follow him to achieve excellence in their educational career.
118 Students from Thiruvallur and Chengalpet district participate in various competitions and out of them 14 children won prizes.
Earlier Mr.V. Muralidharan, Founder and Managing trustee of Sevalaya spoke about the importance of Ramanujan day and Ms. Annapurna, Trustee of Sevalaya proposed the vote of thanks and the programme concluded with National anthem.
