to stress the importance of education.“There are seven children in my
family. I am the last one. My parents were not able to give education for
their seven children. They decided that they would support only my education
in the whole family. So my parents, brothers and sisters all worked, earned
and supported my education. I did not have access to proper footwear and
clothing and used to borrow old clothes from my neighbours. When I joined my
Engineering, I did not have shoes- I was the only one in my class wearing
slippers- even those were borrowed ones. But today I am the Head of 2,500
staff at my company. I know 7 languages. The main reason I have attained
this level is because of my education”. He encouraged the school students
saying, “You are the future of India. You should study well. I want to
see a lot of engineers and doctors in the future. Now our journey with
Sevalaya is starting. And we will do our best”. Selva Ganapathy in his
speech shared that he was very happy to have participated in the event
and requested the students to use the items provided for their development.
After the items were formally handed over, the students’ faces lit up
