Dr S Kannan, Director, Shri Sankara Academy inaugurated the Mobile Medical van by flagging it off. This mobile Medical van with a well-equipped medical facility will treat the needy in nearly 40 villages of Thanjavur District.
A team of doctors and nurses from Sevalaya conducted health checkups for 82 villagers. This backward village does not have any medical facility and the nearest Public Health Centre is 4kms away from them. No medical camps have so far been conducted in this village.

The services include periodic free medical camps, distribution of free medicines, health awareness sessions, and specialized medical camps at intervals.
