Independence Day was celebrated at Sevalaya as a national festival. The day also witnessed a host of activities.
The flag hoisting was done by Sankar Krishnan, Deputy Head,Larsen and Tourbo Infotech Ltd. A classical musical concert by Lavanya Sundaraman Great Grand daughter of Carnatic Music legend Smt. D.K.Pattammal was also held. The artiste sang the patriotic songs of Mahakavi Bharathiyar which went well with the mood of the day and was enjoyed by the audience – children, old age home residents , villagers, staff and trustees.
