Dry Ration Kit Distribution at Thirubhuvanai

Sevalaya with the support of donors distributed grocery kits to families of priests of temples/ churches/mosques whose livelihood has been affected by the COVID Pandemic.

The priests of many small places of worship in rural areas are the worst hit, as they depend on the contributions from the devotees, which had dwindled during this pandemic period. Hence Sevalaya has organised the distribution of groceries for a month for the families of 300 such affected priests in the neighbourhood of its 13 locations.

On 30th June 2021, A Sivasubramaniyan, Revenue Officer, Thirubhuvanai, Elango, Village Administrative Officer, Madagadipet, distributed grocery kits to families of  priests  from areas around Thirubhuvanai.

Each kit consists of 25 Kg of rice, and groceries including Toor Dhall, Rava, Wheat flour, idli rice, chilli powder, turmeric powder, pepper, and cumin seeds.

Sevalaya has been engaged in relief activities during this pandemic, with the support of many donors.
