Sevalaya distributed ₹1,10,000 worth groceries to 200 families of disabled persons, in memory of
Padma Bhushan Awardee violin maestro Lalgudi G Jayaraman,in Pattukkottai town and , Seruvaviduthi , Avanam and Thiruchitrambalam villages in Peravurani Taluk in Thanjavur District on 26th April 2020, adhereing to the socil distancing norms.
This COVID 19 Relief Project was sponsored by Lalgudi G J R Krishnan and Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi, the son and daughter of Violin Maestro and Padma Bhushan Awardee Lalgudi G Jayaraman in his memory.
The grocery kits were distributed by Ravindran, District Differently Abled Persons Welfare Officer, Thanjavur. A Mageswaran, Trustee, Sevalaya and Anand, Dhanasekaran and Sundaramurthy, volunteers of Sevalaya coordinated the event.
