Sevalaya’s Mahakavi Bharathiyar Higher Secondary School , Kasuva, Tiruvallur
has achieved 100% results in the Std XI board exams conducted this year.
The results were released on 16 May 2025. Out of 165 students who appeared,
106 passed in the first division. The toppers this year have secured 86.5%,
85.5% and 85% marks respectively. Sevalaya, a charitable organisation has
been functioning for the past 37 years educating nearly 2,200 underprivileged
children, free of cost at their school in Kasuva, near Thiruninravur. Many
students are first generation school goers hailing from a disadvantaged
economic background.The topper, Shadhanaa B scored 519 out of 600 marks.
Her father is a driver and mother is a homemaker. She wishes to pursue MBBS.
Geethalakshmi K scored 513 and came second. Her father works as a welder and
her mother is a homemaker. She wishes to pursue engineering and build a career
in Artificial Intelligence.Mohanbabu R and Kaviya S from the Commerce stream,
both scored 508 and came third. Mohanbabu’s father is a driver at a private
firm. His mother is a homemaker. He wishes to pursue higher education in Commerce
and join the police force. Kaviya’s father works as a driver at Sevalaya. Her
mother is a homemaker. Her brother is pursuing engineering with Sevalaya’s support.
She wished to pursue her IAS dream in the future. The toppers credited their
success to the guidance provided by their teachers and Sevalaya. They also promised
to become successful in life and give back to Sevalaya and the society. Sevalaya
teachers went beyond their job to ensure that the students giving the board exams
were thoroughly prepared academically, physically and mentally to give their best.
They conducted special classes and provided individual attention through counseling
sessions to the students. Sevalaya also regularly conducts career guidance sessions
for the students and provides financial support to deserving students for their higher education.
