The mobile medical van sponsored by BNY Mellon is now being utilised by Sevalaya to run free ambulance services for COVID-19 afflicted patients at the Govt General Hospital, Thiruvallur.
The services were inaugurated today in the presence of Dr Arasi Srivatsan – Dean of Thiruvallur District General Hospital, Dr Saravanan, Medical Superintendent, and Dr Rajkumar Resident Medical Officer, Thiruvallur General Hospital. Dr J Gokulakrishnan, Head of Health Services, and Sister Sheela Mary, Staff Nurse, Sevalaya were present on the occasion.
The second wave of COVID-19 has caused havoc in India. Sevalaya is undertaking relief activities for the affected people with the support of philanthropic individuals, associations, and corporates.
